Gacha System Explained
Character Gacha
The gacha is divided into three types: Beginner Gacha, Standard Gacha (Permanent), and Rate-Up (Limited) Gacha.
Beginner Gacha: A 6★ Operator is guaranteed within 40 pulls. Also includes a 6★ Standard Weapon Selection Box as a launch bonus.
Standard Gacha (Permanent): Every 10-pull guarantees at least one 5★. Pity system: A 6★ is guaranteed within 80 pulls (pity counter resets upon obtaining a 6★). After accumulating 300 total pulls on the Standard Gacha, you can spark (select) any one 6★ Operator from the permanent pool.
Rate-Up (Limited) Gacha: Shares the same base pity as the Standard Gacha. Base rates: 0.8% for a 6★, 8% for a 5★. When a 6★ is pulled, there is a 50% chance it will be the featured Rate-Up character.
Soft Pity: After 65 pulls without a 6★, the 6★ rate increases incrementally with each subsequent pull.
Rate-Up Guarantee (Spark): Your first 6★ pull on a new Rate-Up banner is guaranteed to be the featured character if you haven't pulled them within 120 pulls.
Weapon Gacha
Separate banners exist: a Standard Weapon Gacha and a Signature Weapon Gacha (featuring the signature weapon of the current Rate-Up 6★).
Pity: A 6★ weapon is guaranteed every 40 pulls ("soft pity"), with a 25% chance to be the featured signature weapon.
Hard Pity/Guarantee: The featured signature weapon is 100% guaranteed every 80 pulls.
Bonus: After 100 pulls on a Signature Weapon Gacha, receive a 6★ Standard Weapon Selection Box.
Pull Rates: 6★ weapon (4%), Featured Signature Weapon (1% within the 6★ pool), 5★ weapon (15%).
Gacha/Banner Schedule
Currently, three character rate-up banners have been announced: Phase 1 features Laevatain, Phase 2 features Gilberta, and Phase 3 features Yvonne.
Understanding Basic Character Mechanics
Character Classes
First, you need to understand the basic character mechanics of Endfield. Character classes are divided into 6 types: Guard, Caster, Striker, Vanguard, Defender, and Supporter. The roles and positioning of characters differ depending on their class.
Guard: Physical attribute, deals Physical DMG and inflicts Physical Anomaly effects.
Caster: Depending on their attribute, they apply Arts attachments and inflict Arts Anomaly effects.
Sniper: Main damage dealer.
Vanguard: Primarily provides SP recovery, enabling the use of more Tactical Skills.
Defender: Provides shields or HP recovery.
Supporter: Provides support effects.
5 Character Attributes
Physical, Thermal, Biotic, Electromagnetic, and Cryo. Among these, Thermal, Biotic, Electromagnetic, and Cryo are considered elemental attachments. Stacking elemental attachments of the same attribute will cause an Elemental Burst, while stacking different elemental attributes will produce an Elemental Anomaly. Depending on the last attached attribute, the corresponding anomaly effects are as follows:
Burning: Upon applying the Fire attribute, enemies will take continuous Burning damage.
Conductive Anomaly: Upon applying the Electromagnetic attribute, the Magic damage taken by enemies is increased.
Frozen Anomaly: Upon applying the Cold attribute, enemies are frozen. Dealing Physical Shield-break damage to frozen enemies will cause massive Physical damage.
Corrosion Anomaly: Upon applying the Grass attribute, the enemy's resistance to all attributes is reduced.
Character Combat
A team can consist of up to 4 characters. During combat with enemies, we will control one main character, while the other characters will be controlled by AI. Switching between characters triggers Chain Skills, and proper coordination of these Chain Skills can grant buff effects.
Characters possess Skills and Ultimates. Casting a Skill consumes Skill Points (initially, there are 3 Skill Points shared by the entire team) and regenerates Energy for the Ultimate.
Server Launch Character Draws and Team Composition Recommendations
The first featured UP character is Laevatain, a T0-tier Fire-element Guard Main DPS. Pull recommendation: ★★★★★. She significantly improves the early-game exploration experience.
After understanding the basic character mechanics above, team composition strategies will revolve around elemental reactions between characters and the coordination of Skills and Chain Attacks. The following are the most recommended and comfortable team compositions based on data from the third closed beta test. These are for reference only, and team recommendations will be updated for the actual public beta launch.
Fire Team Recommendations
Antal's Skill Focus buff combined with Wulfgard's Skill can apply the Scorch status. Ardelia's Skill can reduce resistance, while Laevatain's Ultimate deals damage to finish off enemies.
Recommended Physical Team Compositions
The core strategy of the Physical team lineup is to stack layers, up to a maximum of 4 stacks, and then use Da Pan's Chain Attack to deal Physical Anomaly DMG.
